1. Descriptions:
Carboxymethyl guar gum is a derivative of guar gum, and its aqueous solution is a non-Newtonian fluid with a pseudoplastic behavior of shear thinning. The viscosity of solution increases with the increase of concentration, decreases with the increase of temperature, and increases first and then decreases with the increase of storage time. Therefore, carboxymethyl guar gum can be used as thickening agent, stabilizer, flocculant, cross-linking agent, rheological improver, etc. A large number of applications in oil, natural gas drilling fracturing fields.
The rheological properties of guar gum and its derivatives showed that the time stability, salt tolerance, acid-base resistance and heat stability of the modified solution were effectively improved, and the thickening property of the solution was slightly reduced. The freeze-thaw stability of modified guar gum is obviously improved, which is conducive to the application of oil and gas fields in different environments.
